I'd be very surprised if the blazin' wings at BW's are that hot. I can eat a dozen no problem. There's a franchise in the midwest called Quaker Steak & Lube that has an Atomic sause that is just insane. I thought this was an urban legend until I experience it for myself - but you actually have to sign a release form to order them.

I like things hot, but these were the kind of hot that you can't smell or taste. I got through 3 of them then it hit me like a ton of bricks. My sinuses closed up, my eyes started watering and within 5 minutes I was shooting flames out of my ass. Haven't tried them since.

Yeah, those wings as I suspected when I ordered them are just coated in extract. Imo, it's like eating a tasteless chunk of flesh because after that intense chemical/metallic taste overwhelms your senses the capsaicin basically shuts your receptors down. I should have known better. Although I ate them (I hate waste), it was an experience I'd never repeat.

There is hot like Jerk hot or Vindaloo hot where the intense heat has you spacing out from the endorphin rush...but at least the heavy use of spices/flavors in the dish play together nicely. Then there is hot just for the sake of hot, and those wings are a prime example. In fact, that is one of the reasons I can enjoy intensly hot dishes. Super hot peppers do work very well with some things. As I mentioned already Jerk is an awesome example. Insanely hot and full of flavor.

SW Distributing west of Phoenix has Hot Sauce from Hell and Kick A$$ sauces. All their items are made with Habs. My favorite is the Bloody Mary From Hell Mix.
