Can I use this to sanitize? (assuming I dilute it properly) McKesson Prep Solution 16 oz.
16 oz of 10% iodine will probably last me a life time.
Anyone else here use this?
I have been reading up on iodophors and Povidone Iodine and the like and think I kind of understand.
This article helped (yes it written about a different product but I think the facts carry over). IODOPHOR
An iodophor is iodine mixed with another chemical to make it absorb better and be more useful.
Povidone Iodine is a type of iodophor.
The end result (I think) is I want this stuff mixed with water until I have 12.5 to 25 ppm of iodine.
As far as the obvious question (Why don't you just use Star San?) this is less than half the price.
