For your consideration is a MoreBeer flat brew sculpture from circa 2012. Posted with pix on craigslist at https://newyork.craigslist.org/wch/for/6258745729.html. For reference the current version is here: https://www.morebeer.com/products/rider-brewsculpture-v4.html
You can brew 10-gallon batches on this which, if you're a prolific brewer, is a godsend. 10 gallons doesn't take any longer than 5 gallons; you just need a system big enough to accommodate. And since moving 10 gallons of hot liquid is a bad idea, this system comes with pumps to move your beer for you. There are other designs that use gravity to move liquid. Those are cool but I've really enjoyed the flat format that keeps things low and safe.
I've made a lot of good beer on this and had a lot of fun, but I have three kids and limited brew time these days; I'd rather see this go to a good home than sit unused in my garage. This was $3000 new. It's yours for half that.
Included:
- 15 gallon mash tun, boil kettle, and hot liquor tanks -- lots of headroom for boilovers, etc.
- Built-in thermometers on boil and hot liquor; sightglass on hot liquor
- Adjustable sparge ring
- False bottom
- Two pumps that have been well-maintained with complete teardown between sessions; a couple of spare gaskets included
- 1/2" copper immersion chiller with recirculation
- 3/8" copper wort circulation coil
- silicon tubing with quick release fittings throughout
- three adjustable propane burners
- propane regulator and hose
- stainless frame with urethane wheels makes it easy to move around
I have a few other doodads -- hop strainers, pickup tubes, etc. -- that I'll happily include if they turn up in the garage. You'll need a pickup or van to move this. I still love brewing and I'm happy to help with loading, tutorials, etc. Questions? Drop me a line. Posted with pix on craigslist at https://newyork.craigslist.org/wch/for/6258745729.html
