When using the diluted product (2 capfuls in 5 gallons) is it safe to get your hands into your sanitizing work, or is this stuff a rubber gloves and safety goggles all the way proposition?

Iodophor kills more types of bugs, so it should remain in most brewer's tool kit. I've gone back it being my primary disinfectant and Starsan as the secondary.

The SDS (formerly MSDS) for Iodophor seems far less frightening than the SDS for StarSan.

Last question: Is Iodophor at the concentration of 2 capfuls in 5 gallons considered to be a no rinse sanitizer?

Be careful. Iodophor strength varies between manufacturers. The National Chemical stuff is stronger than the 5Star stuff. I can't say there is a universal dose.
