    hops and frost question

    so this buddy of mine tells me he has a huge hop vine in his yard ,and i can have at er.The only problem I have is I don't know if it's too late to pick them.they probably had a good frost or too by now ,and I really don't know if that's good or bad.Can anyone help me out here ?

    lowering sparge water ph

    What do you guys use to lower sparge water p.h?My water is high in p.h.,so I was lookin for some info on how to get it to a reasonable level.I use gypsum to adjust my mash p.h. btw,my p.h. is at about 8.0 to8.2 thanks

    crushed grain question

    How long can a guy store milled grain? I crushed the grain for my next batch 2 weeks ago and have to wait at least another week before I can brew.Too many weddings ,I only brew on weekends.:mug: I stored it in a plastic airtight pail with a lid.It's about 8.5 lbs of grain for 5ga. batch.:tank:
