For Sale Selling out my entire Brewery

Yes. All 3 perlicks have the short 1 1/2" shank on them. They were in an iron pipe tap that was built into a countertop. That is why they have the shorter shanks. I actually have some longer, 4" I believe, shanks I can throw in with them if you purchase all 3.

    Concrete Brew Room Countertop?

Nice design. Where did you get the fridge? That would solve an issue I am having.

Ideas to access kegs in keezer under counter

Need some help with ideas from you more experienced keezer designers/builders. I recently moved my stand alone keezer from the basement to a new "drink nook" that we have in our kitchen. It looks and works great, but i have a fixed tap situation with the tap riser attached to the counter that...

Storing beer in 2.5 gallon kegs

Okay, here is my situation. I have a small keezer that really fits nice into a space. I want to keep the size of the keezer but have 3-4 kegs in it. I can do that with 2.5 gallon kegs. I dont mind changing them out more often. I like to brew in 5 gallon batches. Does anyone store beer in...

    Procedure for Racking from Conical?

I am thinking I want to get the racking arm or a pressure kit. Doesnt look like anyone uses the bottom to rack the beer.

    Procedure for Racking from Conical?

I have an old Fermentasaurus that I am using for the first time. I was wondering if anyone had a "best practice" for racking fermented and dry hopped (IPA) into a cornelius keg. The catch bottle that comes with it is not big enough for all the yeast residue so I emptied it once, cleaned and...

    DIY BIAB basket?

I recirculate with a Brew in a Bag "standard" size (200 micron I believe). I have not seen any problems with flow or restriction. Efficiencies have been really good, but not entirely sure how I would know if I was not getting good flow through the bag

    Grain Mill Recomendation

I too have a Barley Crusher, bought it about 6 years ago and have used it for over 50 all grain batches. Has always worked well and has been easy to adjust/held adjustment. One poster above mentioned poor customer service. I did not have that experience. I bent the shaft on the drive roller...

Do old grains make weak beer?

Thanks for all the great replies. Lots to think of. The malt is stored whole (i.e. uncrushed). I have a feeling my water is partly to blame. That and my tastes might be different now. Good to know most folks are using or have used "older" grains. Thanks again for all the comments.

Do old grains make weak beer?

Okay, Getting back into brewing after some time off (about 18 months). Most of my base malt has been sitting (in sealed containers) for about 2 years. Both batches I brewed (since starting back up again) taste "flat and watery". Not flat like undercarbed, flat like no flavor at all. The...
