    I bought a ten gallon tall boy a couple of months ago and have been real happy with it. I heat it with propane. I've brewed several beers with it so far. It's well constructed and I have no complaints about it. :mug:

    Feeding spent grains to deer

    I live out in the woods where there are plenty of deer and turkeys. I set my spent grains out along the edge of the woods this summer and nothing other than my dog touched them. I might try it again this winter when the deer have fewer options.

    Thanks for the great ideas. I'm glad I asked the pros, because I was really leaning toward the colder temp. I have a rubbermaid tub laying around here somewhere... time to put it to use and start testing before the weekend. I also like the idea of using the lager yeast, I'll have to try...

    Is my regulator jacked?

    I agree with mattd2. I recently had a regulator that did the same thing and it drove me nuts. I replaced it with a better quality unit and it performs as expected, no creeping. I still plan on rebuilding the old one to have as a backup though.
