    simple question can you age for to long? I have had a batch in the secondary going on 3 months. been real busy with work to find time to bottle :( can this beer go bad?

    bottled and curious

    So I bottled my first beer the other day. Really stoked to see what the results will be of all my time an money invested Into this new hobby.. I do see some what looks like trub in the bottom of the bottles.. Small amount. I had a final gravity of 1.008.. Do I drink this?

    smell removal

    Will the smell of the beer come out of my fermeter.. I washed it with bleach water and I still smell beer. Does it matter? Should a just wash out one more time and brew away?

    Can someone explain the reason behind moving beer into secondary fermenter? To open up the primary for a new batch? More time for yeast to break down sugars?do I siphon eveything out of primary into secondary? Or do I just use a funnal to dump the whole batch into my carboy? Is this when I dry...
