    Help, Bad SSR?

Thanks, everything seems to be wired correctly. Just have to install my element and test it out.

    Help, Bad SSR?

8-28-11 I believe this was the file johnodon used for his build.

    Updates to kegerator / mancave

The ipa is a mini mash kit. The folks who wrote the clonebrews book own a shop in CT, got the kit from them. The drip tray is the 14incher. Works perfect with 4 taps. It appears to be very well made, and there are few welded joints. Its mounts with three screws making it sturdy for this...

    Updates to kegerator / mancave

I got sick of having to clean the floor so I ordered a drip tray from NB. Also painted the top half in rustoleum chalk board paint, im pretty happy with the results and its easy to identify and change beers. I love amazon recommendations, after all my beer related searches it came up with this...

    Help, Bad SSR?

Thanks for the feedback. I was trying to bench test the controller before attempting to boil water. Still need to mount the element to my kettle. Does my wiring appear to be correct before i fire this thing up? Any other things i can check for before a trial run

    Help, Bad SSR?

Im working on an e-biab setup based on one of PJs diagrams. When i press the second switch(heat), the contactor engages and i get continuous 240v power on the output side, even though the light on the ssr indicates it is switching on and off. When the switch is off there is no continuity between...

    Carbonating in a keg.

When you do this do you end up with the first few beers full of sediment? I have thought about this for a while, but the bottle sediment is

    100QT & 180QT Stock Pot Bulk Buy

I just replied to cripple's Pm to get a better idea on timing. I want the try-ply 80qts so I need to come up with $500. Z28 where are you located in CT? Again I would ideally take a road trip there, but depends on timing, next couple weekends are busy.

    BIAB Electric Brewery

Nice build, do you have a false bottom, or just using the basket? Any issues with the electric element burning the bag?

    Whats your brewing capacity?

Thanks for the feedback. I have determined that 10 gallons is a necessity, 5 just goes by way too quick. I guess it's going to depend on where I can find the best deals on kettles if I go bigger.

    Whats your brewing capacity?

Like the title says, I'm looking for some feedback on sizing my brewery. Currently doing 5g partial mash batches in the kitchen but I'm looking to build out an all grain e-brewery in my basement. What size batches are you guys making? 5, 10, 15, 20? Obviously I want to invest once and be...

    Spike Brewing Kettles

Whoops, the search for kettle produced a million results and spike had nothing. I guess that solves it.

    Spike Brewing Kettles

Anyone have experience with these? I found them from a local CL post. thinking about picking up a few for my future electric setup. I tend to believe a kettle is a kettle, but I welcome comments from people who bought bargain kettles. http://spikebrewing.com/

    Would these make good kettles?

I might grab a couple to try out. Ideally I want to move to an e-Herms setup. 55gallons is overkill for now but at least I'd have room to expand.

    Would these make good kettles?

The ad says steel, but not necessarily stainless. Also not sure about the ceramic lining. Any thoughts? The price is right if they are safe for brewing and can be modified. Thanks http://hartford.craigslist.org/grd/2730335802.html
