bottling to kegging then back to bottling?

I moved to kegging but still bottle anything that needs to age such as my whiskey barrel porter and barley wine. No sense in tying up my kegs for 9+ months imo

    Must go places in SD?

Karl Strauss is a fantastic restraunt/brewery and i'd highly recommend any of their 4 locations. Take the wife out for a nice dinner and you won't be disappointed. Another one i've been going to alot lately is san diego beer co in downtown. You can't go wrong with any of the pizza port...

    First AG brew- Raspberry Ale

I did 32 oz of frozen raspberries in the secondary for 6 days in a wheat. It came out kind of tart but everyone seemed to dig it

    Simple setup

I would definitely suggest both an outside burner and chiller asap. As for a bigger brewpot i'd recommend converting an old keg. To me that's the best bang for the buck

I just received my 3-peice ball valve, bulk head and dip tube along with a sight glass and thermometer from bobby today. Everything looks top notch and I can't wait to install it all tomorrow.

    Any Midnight brewers?

I've always brewed on sunday mornings which usually works out nice. The local radio has a good sunday morning program and/or I can listen to the game while relaxing with beer in hand and all but I definitely like the idea of doing a "twilight" session. Maybe I'll try my next one on a friday...

    Competition advice

I just learned of a near by homebrew contest (http://www.temeculahomebrewers.com/) and am considering entering. The dead line is tomorrow so I need to hurry but before I do I want to make sure i'm entering it into the right category. It's a whiskey barrel porter (northern brewers bourbon...

Austin Homebrew This Sounds Like YOUR Accounting Mistake Not Mine!

Sounds like dizzy pants owes AHS 35 bucks. Grow up and pay them for the supplies you purchased from them.

You know you're a dad when...

I named my raspberry wheat "cry baby raspberry wheat" after trying to bottle the batch while my 3 month old refused to be set down. It wasn't too bad holding him while filling the bottles with one hand but forget about trying to cap em!

    Celebration Ale - 2011

My wife, knowing that I enjoy sierra nevada, surprised me with a case of this for thanksgivings. She said she knew I was gonna need it to get through the day with her folks. I really enjoyed it to say the least. Tumbler was good too.

    Keggle OR 15 gallon Megapot

Love my keggle. Blichmann is nice for the bling of course but my keggle does the job with out breaking the bank. Plus (and this is just one of those personal things) I get a bit of sanctification from "building" it myself.

Will all the sugar in my rasberries ferment?

I made a raspberry wheat a few batches back but didn't see much extra activity with the addition of the raspberries. That was a fantastic brew and like pdxkale the ladies loved it!

    Northern Brewer Smashing Pumpkin

I brewed this for a halloween party I threw. It went quick and everyone loved it! I baked a can of that libbies stuff since no one had pumpkins yet. I also used the small pack of spice that came with the kit. I'd definitely brew it again next season but I wanna use real pumpkin and I'd like...
