Me and my friends will be brewing up a blueberry ale possibly by next week. Im still confused though, I have about 3lbs of fresh picked blueberries and not sure how to add them. Currently they are in the freezer, should i mash them up or just add them after the boil?

It has been 7 days after bottling our first homebrew. Just wondering, does it matter what the kind of style beer might need longer to settle for better taste quality? It is a pale ale me and my friends started off with. We want to wait 5 or 6 weeks, would this make for a better quality/taste?

Everyone, Our first batch of home brew came out excellent! However, still waiting for it to carbonate. It is a pale ale and the next batch me and my friends want to brew a possible stout. Hmm... the possibility's eh? well cheers all! T.J

OH YEAH! Ok, should I rack my brew into the secondary? If I do, should I strain it? My secondary isn't a glass carboy. However it is another bucket with a nozzle when i begin bottling. Just wondering. Should I consider buying a carboy tomorrow? Thanks again!

I will probably wait another week then. There shouldnt be any leaking, we made sure it was sealed shut pretty well. Oh yeah, what should the hydrometer read again for me to know when to bottle? Thanks everyone! T.J.

So, Its been a week of fermenting. Currently brew is fermenting at my friends house. He told me yesterday that,it was bubbling for 2 days strait after we put it into bucket for fermenting. He said after those 2 days the rest of this week it stopped. Does this mean anything? We were going to...

alright sounds good. If I do rack it to a secondary, should I do it next Saturday, which will be 6 days. If I do, how long should i wait to bottle it? Also, while siphoning into my secondary, should I strain? or will that take a lot of what i want for taste? I guess im allittle lost?

Oh, and potter, we weren't able to take the exact temp. But we need to get a thermometer for that for sure.
