someone please convince me to keep going!!!!

I just remembered the La Fin Du Monde clone you brewed at my house, you used the water hose with the filter to fill your brew kettle. Try store bought water.

    Received warm yeast

It's hard to say if the yeast will be ok. I would definitely do a starter to see if it is, rather than just pitching it in. I only order dry yeast during the hotter months. It's supposed to hit 99 here today. Even with a cold pack, I doubt the yeast would survive those temps on a 2-3 day...

    Pleased with Ubuntu

Using Ubuntu at work and home for about 1 year now. I have VirtualBox installed on my work pc to run some Windows applications that won't work in Linux. Other than that, I love it.

Wort chiller. To buy or not to buy...

Same here. It's much cheaper at the mom and pop stores than at the major chains. Plus the small stores here will cut the length you want, unlike what I've found at Lowes.

    Sierra Nevada Hefeweizen?

South MS, near Hattiesburg. I drink Sierra Nevada Pale Ale often, so I was surprised when I saw the yellow six pack from them. I'm used to only seeing the green pale ale. Last week was the first time I saw it at the local store.
