    Overly agressive US-05 : normal ?

Looks like you have very happy yeast. US-05 typically blows off for 3-4 days for me. You're fine.

Electric System for under $1000 possible?

With all the extreme overkill projects around here, I can see why you think you must spend a fortune. If you DIY the whole thing, you are probably only a few hundred. Get yourself an electrical box on e-bay or local surplus store. Get a couple PIDs. Auber is good, but you can get cheaper...

    Low bucks motorized grain mill

Nice project. Here's another option for a cheap gear motor. Only 50 RPMs, but plenty of torque. People use these wiper motor to power props. You can find them even cheaper on e-bay. I payed $12 shipped for a rebuild. You could probably squeeze a few more RPMs out of it...

    Brewtarget 2.0 Update

FYI - There doesn't seem to be any way within the GUI to import/restore an XML database from previous versions in Linux. I used this method to make it happen.

    PVC to move hot water

Yeah, don't use PVC for hot water. Around 140 degress, it begins to leach vinyl chloride, which not only means you have vinyl chloride in your beverage, but will lead to failure. CPVC is used for hot water.

welded versus weldless, where do you stand?

Nothing wrong with weldless. It's easier for many folks, especially those just starting out who don't want to invest a lot of time or money into something they don't know they'll stick with. I bought a bag of the o-rings from McMaster. That allowed me to easily add or reconfigure new items on...

The other day my kids saw one of these. I wasn't sure how to explain the cold war to my 5 and 8 year old. Anyone remember watching "The Day After"?

    Train horn

Hehe, I always thought that would be the best thing to have arround to annoy the neighbors. Maybe even mount it on the car. Seems like I came across some things via google at one time where you can buy new diaphrams and the like. Good luck!

    Need corona grain mill tips

I've never done BIAB, but I highly recommend conditioning the grain before running through a Corona style mill. A quick search here should turn up a few threads.
