    Turkey Fryer and propane

    Question about winter time brewing as we approach the colder months. Would it be safe for me to brew in my basement with a turkey fryer and a propane burner if I opened the window? Just curious because I am afraid of taking a long long time to come to a boil.

    Ok, no fuggles. Instead substitute some Simcoe for them. I can understand that. Now should I use 1oz of Simcoe at 20mins or 0.5 at 20mins and 0.5 at flame out?

    Well after a hot fermentation (heavy and at about 70 degrees F) for about 5 days I am going to rack this to secondary tomorrow or Saturday. I figure I will let it sit there for 2 to 3 weeks then bottle it. Here is a picture of the amount of trub left in the bottom of the carboy after just 5 days.
