    Weldless Triclover Element?

Thanks for posting this. I was looking at Bobby's kettle enclosures at brewhardware. Any plans for this type of weldless tc fitting Bobby?

    Scorched Element

I'm wondering the same thing looks like some people can and some can't get it through the same ferule. I just posted this on another thread asking what element it is. Maybe different to yours? https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f170/weldless-triclover-element-428247/index21.html

    Weldless Triclover Element?

KP which wavy element do you have? Seems like another has had issues getting a wavy element in this, and if I go this route, would like to get the right one that fits. thanks.

120v heating element with gas stove top?

I was just looking at these on Bobby's site: https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/etc4wf.htm (welded) or unwelded https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/hotpod-ewl3.htm Look a lot safer than what I have been reading. I do 10 gallon all grain batches in keggles for HLT and BK, cooler for MLT...

    How often is too often?

I agree. I don't see the strength in that argument. I give away most of my beer in sharing the hobby through neighbors, brew club meetings, competitions, and waste. Just because I make 10 gallons doesn't mean I drink 10 gallons.

    How often is too often?

    Perfectly said.

Cold weather's got the yeasties dormant

if it's moving you should be good. If it stops, you may need to repitch yeast and increase temp.

    Debating on a refractometer....

they are a lot cheaper than they used to be! Very valuable in brewing, I got mine off craigslist locally and came with a beaker for starters a few years back. I'm considering getting one that reads plato and gravity. I check mine once every 5 or so brews to make sure its calibrated.

Why do homebrewers use gravity instead of plato?

After brewing a beer with a commercial brewer, everything is done in plato. When the brewer converts the lingo to a homebrewer, he has to calculate that into gravity. A brewer friend asked, "Why don't we use gravity?". Why don't we homebrewer's use plato for our measurements instead of gravity?

    How often is too often?

In all seriousness, 1-2 a day=14 per week, if you're like me, you may go the weekdays without a beer, then catch-up on the weekend :)

    How often is too often?

6 pack a day keeps the doctor away

Need your opinion on something at work.

My answer is pretty simple: If you're expected to work, unless there is a huge storm and your boss calls you to tell you that you don't have to come in, you be at work. Simple as that.

    Do I need to aerate?

Like beerbeerbeer said, yeast needs oxygen to do its job. I don't do aeration but shake the hell out of it when i add yeast, and then carry downstairs, hit my FG's that way. That being said, other things are important such as health of the yeast, fermentation temperature, adding any other yeast...

    Kegging Off Taste

Glad you fixed the issue. Strange the lines were the cause though, my guess it is something that went into the lines and sat there like your cleaner/sanitizer. Being in the U.S. and using PBW and StarSan, not sure about your chemical/cleaning usage. Not sure, but if it happens again, I would...
