Ohio 1/2 bbl 3 tier system with sparge arm

Here are the photographs of this system. I originally had this setup to be a small pilot system, but had to move it when the space was sold to a new owner. In the first picture, it is hooked up to a natural gas line, but the original propane lines from the burners will come with it.

    dead nottingham yeast?

I expect that you're finished fermenting. since it's an imperial stout using extract, I would expect an OG on the high side. It might still drop a couple points, but I doubt it will come down much further.

Possible ESB Grain Bill For Review

In agreement with everyone else, that's a bit too much crystal. Also, my personal preference I dont really like chocolate malt in an ESB, but that's my personal taste.

All Grain, Self Malted GF Brew?

In my experience you get lower extract on gluten free grains, so you will want a little extra of both your base malt and specialty malts. A few of us have discussed making crystal malts in this thread: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f164/just-made-gf-crystal-malt-376176/

    Just made GF crystal malt

That sounds a lot like the bitter I brewed a few days ago, but I used mostly millet with just a small percentage of buckwheat. That site made it sound like buckwheat would give an authentic beer like flavor.

Extreme Beer in America – Circus Novelty or the New Normal?

I love dead guy, I think it is a great beer. It is not an extreme beer, but it is an "americanized" adaptation of a traditional beer.

Extreme Beer in America – Circus Novelty or the New Normal?

Thanks for your reply, I think you hit the nail on the head. I mix things up sometimes too, but I really love the traditional styles.
