    Clear stuff floating in secondary?

    I brewed an all grain Mexican beer on May 5 and last night I noticed a 4” clear circle floating on top of the secondary. I used some gelatin for finings as I always do, but that suppose to sink right? Does anyone have a clue to what my mystery guest is? :confused:

    Calculating efficiency?

    I am wondering how you guys calculate your mash efficiency? I mean if you use a hydrometer after the mash/sparge the wort is still around 140F what is the correction used for this high of a temp I found a chart in John Palmers book but it only goes to 120F.     Half Beer Half Foam

    I seem to be having trouble tonight every pale ale I get from my keg is Half Beer Half Foam I turned the regulator down to 5psi but still the same. The head settles out quick and I am pretty buzzed so things are good!:rockin:

    Thermostat

    Thanks for the tip!

    I read a thread on this site about using carboy caps for racking I had the pleasure of using this today. I used my co2 to rack out of my secondary with carboy cap to my bottles & keg it worked so well this will be the only way for me from now on! :ban: THANK YOU!! :mug:

    How to name your brew!

    I was wondering how you brewers come up with names for your brew? I named my last batch Pifers Paw Pale Ale because me freind (Pifer) stuck his fingers in the wort to see if it had cooled down to pitching temps yet (his first brew session).
