This is in the fermeneter going crazy now...I screwed up on my hops though..did a full 90 minute boil without ANY hop additions...DOH!...added 4 ounces and boiled for another 5 minutes...I'm going to step up the dry hop and see what happens..probably a lot of aroma but not much beittering

Thanks. It not vacuum seals but somewhat sealed in the bags from BMW so I'm sure it's fine.

Will grains go stale? I have some that are from BMW from about 15 months ago.

Not sure why they do not add up, that's weird.

I was one of the judges at The California Beer Festival in Ventura last weekend and this was my favorite entry. It ended up taking second place overall. Karl Strauss Brewing - Wreck Alley Imperial Stout took first prize I'll be giving this recipe a shot next if I can find all the ingredients. :mug:

Yes that's plenty of yeast. In fact that's a lot more than I've put in. Shake them before you freeze just to be sure the glycerin is well mixed in.

Just pitched Whitbread vial into a started today...the vial was frozen 18 months ago...I'll let ya know how it goes.

Just kegged mine...sat on yeast for a month...tasted a bit when I was pouring into keg and it's a winner. I also skipped dry hopping

When BMW first opened and for the first say 6 months, their shipping was freakin unbelievable. I would order Friday from Cali and have my stuff Mon or Tuesday, unbelievably fast. Last year or so it takes them 1-2 business days to ship it out. What they have ****ed up they always have made right...

I brewed this 2 weeks ago. OG was 1.75, just took hydro sample n it's 1.025..I pitched two starters on this...one 1056, the other Denny's favorite yeast. Hydro sample tasted good, going to let it sit on the yeast another week or two.
