I've been mia for a while but am about to cut the top off a keg I got. I was going to get a cut off wheel (3") from harbor freight but then I saw the angle grinder (4"+) that looks more heavy duty. I assume the bigger the better but anyone have any input...

If you're just hooking it up to a 6 or 12v computer fan it will either run in reverse if the wires are switched or it won't run at all. This is what happened with me. I take no responsibility if you burn your fan though.... Low enough voltage to just give it a try IMO.

I'm nervous to let it go too long b/c I've got 3 kegs in there. It was already cold and I couldn't hear a click while I was turning. I assume it still clicks while unplugged?

So far no luck on my small GE. Turned it in all the way and the compressor was still running after I plugged it in. I'm now afraid to go counter-clockwise too much for fear of unscrewing the thing completely. Thoughts anyone?

I have a cheap chi co dial temp controller on mine. I will be replacing with NOTHING this weekend! Thank you for the info! I will post back here with pics and updates.

If I had to guess total capacity I would say it was 18QT since I put 4G in it with some head space still. It came with a plastic lid that looks tight enough. I guess my post title didn't have to say "Needed", more like just curious. Whatever it WAS it's now a secondary for something. Maybe...

Anyone seen one of these? I put 4G in it and it almost come to the top. Would probably on 2ndary with it or maybe ferment 3G... but I'm thinking it's metric for some reason.

I have the exact same fridge. I just hooked up a temp controller to use for fermentation though. Nice looking kegorator! Do you jar more detail on the shelf?
