    Counterpressure bottle filler....I know.

The Tapcooler sounds exactly like what you are NOT looking for.. It works decent for the one and two bottle fills. I couldn't imagine filling 40-50 bottles with it. I tried to fill a growler with mine and the piece that goes into the bottle (that extends and retracts to fill different height...

    40 % off sous vide

This appears to be just for the container and not the Sous Vide machine itself.

    Dry hopping techniques.

I've dry hopped with the magnet trick in a bucket fermenter a handful times so here's my overall experience. A 6.5 g bucket fermenter and 5+ gallons of wort does not leave enough headspace to keep the dry hops away from the krausen. Hard to tell for sure without opening the fermenter and...

    Day 4 advice

I've always done my first dry hop before fermentation is complete. Helps reduce O2 exposure. To each their own I suppose

    Flotit

I use the Flotit 2.0 with my All Rounder. Works the same as corny keg. It's been well worth the purchase. Someone ask how they clean it.. well for me, while I'm cleaning the all rounder with hot pbw solution, I make sure I get all the gunk off then I apply some pressure and push it through the...

Going from my old, simple set up to something more "modern", opinions?

If you want to up your game then invest more in the cold side by getting rid of the glass carboys. You can play around with pressure fermentation with a Fermzilla all rounder and not end up broke doing so. If you're bored and want a shiny new toy then go for an AIO but don't automatically...

    Flotit

I use the Flotit 2.0 in my FV. No longer need to worry about dry hopping in mesh bags. Just toss 'em in and transfer is easy. Before, with the standard dip tube and mesh filter, it kept getting clogged. I'd recommend it to anybody

"Dry Hopped to Hell and Back Again - A Craft Brewers Tale" When's the book coming out?

I wonder what would happen if....

USE to have a zip-line in my back yard. I say 'use to' because after having a few to many, I decided to get my 225lb drunk ass up there and take a running start over the edge. Needless to say I crashed right to the ground and ruined the zip-line for everybody. Apparently, there's a weight limit

    DryHop for 0 Days

Ahh ok. I'm used to the recipes saying when to dry hop. Not for how long. I purchased Beersmith but hardly use it.

    DryHop for 0 Days

It's not dry hop FOR 0 days, it's dry hop AT 0 days.. and it probably means to dry hop as soon as you put it in secondary. Or it's a typo but that's my interpretation.

    Dry hop bag question

Floating dip tube with a Flotit 2.0 on the end and you can just toss 'em in! Haven't had any issues when transferring to keg. There's just something funky to me about letting magnets sit in beer. Albeit, the silicone ones are probably fine.

    Never had a NEIPA

I usually don't recommend mass produced NEIPA's but I had a Firestone Walker Mind Haze on Saturday and it was tremendous. Give it a shot if you see it on tap!

    Never had a NEIPA

I love NEIPA's! Specifically, Double NEIPA's!!! and I don't care who that pisses off :D

Hopefully I finally solved my chilling concerns

I just used a CFC chiller for the first time.. so much extra work involved trying to clean and sanitize before and after the brewday. Not to mention just dumping in 1 effin' ounce of hops straight into my kettle nearly clogs the entire flow so it was barely flowing through the CFC resulting in 0...

    Never had a NEIPA

You are better off finding one at a local brewery to try then to buy one off the shelf at a store. Hazy's from Sierra Nevada and New Belgium are readily accessible but IMO.. not very good. If you do buy them off the shelf, don't buy one older then 8 weeks in the can. You might as well be...

    Ale Yeast Under Pressure

Great feedback. My lagers, fermented under the higher pressure range (20-25psi for one and 30 for another), seemed to produce my best beers to date. I figured I'd maintain that approach with the ale yeast. I'll go ahead and dial that way back to around 5psi.

    Ale Yeast Under Pressure

Yes, Cellarscience Cali yeast Going for a 'hoppy blonde'. Would love to have the hops steal the show. Kinda like a Cold IPA or IPL. We'll see what happens I don't see the harm in pressure fermenting. Like Red over White said, just another tool in the toolbox. Was hoping for a little more...
