Is there a way to "automate/control/monitor" a Tilt and an Inkbird WiFi Temp Controller for Fermentation?

Check out BrewPi remix. Im in the process of building one, it will allow you to link your tilt to a control and its all web based

    Input on frame build

Compact design indeed! If you wanted to get crazier, HLT storage becomes MLT permanent location with the pump mount under for gravity priming. slides out for easy cleaning, HLT goes where MT is listed with control control panel in front of it on a swing arm so if you need to get in there you...

    Input on frame build

You have no reason to go into the HLT on the regular so that should be mounted as high as you are comfortable with. You can then mount your BK and MT the same height. I would then try to mount the pump as high as possible between the MT and BK so I can still gravity / pressure prime it but...

Auber RTD probes off by 15-20 degrees F

I spoke to Auber as well, they recommend I replace my probe cables. I did purchase their new silicone braided cable to replace my DIY ones from about 5 years ago. Did a quick test and it seemed to resolve the issue I was seeing, redoing my cable manaagemnt now and hope to get a proper test in...

    Control Panel handles

I made mine 1/2 copper pipe, split ring hangers, and some bolts. I can easily carry the controller from it and also make fine adjustments from the swing mount. There's a link in my signature to the build if you want to see what im talking about

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Yes, I didn't quite understand the power requirements (not sure I still do) and thought I could power the Uno from the 5V power and ground and thought the board ran of 5v at 3amp, I realize from more research I can see that by using the barrel plug and possibly the USB connection USB connection...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

I threw together a quick diagram of how I plan to wire my system up. Can someone give it a sanity check or correct me if I'm way off in my understanding of how the tech works? I have decided to do a dedicated 15 watt power supply and use the power barrels on the Arduino to utilize the onboard...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Will most like do that or if I have to end up making custom USB cables isolating the voltage lines and putting in a dedicated power supply.

    SS Brewtech Keg Cleaner

Good luck! let me know how you make out. I put the cleaner in my mashtun and circulate the PBW through my HERMS coil, I find this much easier than trying to jam it all into the bucket.

    SS Brewtech Keg Cleaner

Hotter the better is what I was always told, seen some professionals use it above 200f, others even boil it. I think 5 star say 130-180f for circulating or half that range for soaking. 180 isn't that ridiculous, nothing but a cup of coffee. If I go to 160 and try to clean 5 kegs, the pump...

    SS Brewtech Keg Cleaner

I don't regret buying this but I wish it was better. I burn the pumps out frequently by either having my cleaning solutions too hot (not hot enough by my standards) or by continual use while cleaning multiple kegs. The rubber on the posts locking the keg in ripped almost immediately as well...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

ah, fair point.. I haven't worked with an Arduino yet... I forgot they dont have native Bluetooth. The cables I have are recycled from old desktops which have custom ends on them (case form factor for external drives) so I would only be able to get 1 maybe 2 of the 3 into the RPI, another...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

wow, okay. So, since I accidentally purchased my UNO's without the usb cables and I refuse to spend more on a cable than the UNO itself, what would you recommend I do? I was going to repurpose some cables I have, they are only 2 inches long so i was going to cut the A end off to extend them...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

my understanding of the documentation is the USB cable from the raspberry pi is what powers the Arduino(s). So, that being said, what, if any, would be the downside of pulling the 5 volt line out of the cable and running that to a separate 5 volt power supply to take the load of the 5v bus of...

BrewPi Remix – What’s Old is New Again

Hey all, about to make the jump and start my first build. I didn't realize until tonight I had to use a Arduino board in addition to a RPI. I am going to use a RPI 3 B and was looking at the Inland Uno's as the Arduino as the Uno's are the suggested for ease, are these considered the "cheap"...

Auber RTD probes off by 15-20 degrees F

I am experiencing this as well. I calibrated everything Friday night and then Saturday morning some probes were reading 50 degrees off. unplugged and re-plugged a few times and then it came back. I checked all my connections, the only thing I was considering was to at a add an electronic...
