Will my turkey fryer burner support a keggle?

I actually used my rig for the first time today. I have a cheapo turky fryer but the burner is very nice. It got 12 gallons up to temp very quickly. Anyways, mine has 3 legs and when you push down on the burner they move outward. I noticed the feet of the legs each have two holes in them...

Help me with my new system!

Thanks! Thanks for all the tips guys. I can't do the cooler thing (that would be purchasing new equipment). The winch thing sounds cool but....I see danger! I will try a three teir design with somehow moving the burner under each teir. I will let you know how it goes. Wish me luck!

Help me with my new system!

Seriously, I cannot afford anymore equipment. I can get wood, nuts and bolts; that is about it. I wish I could just buy a pump, that would be nice. I have a baby on the way and I shouldn't have even purchased the few things I did. I just hope I can work something out with the equipment I...

Help me with my new system!

Anyone have an idea on a rig to build that would allow the kegs to stay in place while I move the burner? I am now aware that moving hot, heavy kegs around would not be a good idea. I am not too good of a designer but, I will give it a shot in the meantime. Thanks!

AMAZING PRICE on 50' Immersion Chiller!!

The reason I did not do it myself is because I do not have all the equipment and it would come out to the same price if not more by purchasing the equipment. I read/watched you DIY many times and wish I had the tools to do it. This chiller will suffice.

AMAZING PRICE on 50' Immersion Chiller!!

No, this chiller is very big. It is very nice and build well. I believe the diameter of the tubing is just fine. I remember there being a debate of 3/8 vs 1/2". I will post pics when I get home. The chiller is definitly the best deal I have found anywhere. 65 and no shipping. Post pics later.

    First brew of the season!

Last night I made an IPA. I also attempted something new for me. I tried a partial mash in my own little fashion. I have my 5 gallon pot, filled her up with 3 gallons and put in a large mesh bag with 3lbs of 2-row, .75 40l, .75 Munich and .25 Carapils. Of course the bulk of the fermentables...

Mash and boil in one kettle?

Now that's a little too far! Thanks for the responses. So, the Australian method show using all the water you are going to use for the mash and just draining te bag. The other link I saw shows dunking the drained bag into another pot of water. I think this will be a little beter of a...

Mash and boil in one kettle?

So, I am sure this has been done before so, if there is an article out there, please let me know! By the way, I got a 3rd for my Belgian Witbier and 3rd for my Dry Stout at the Homebrew Competiton in Chico, Ca this last weekend! Not bad for my first attempt at each of those brews and my 6th...
