    Im going to try my first gallon of beer

    Im just curious i have been making mead for a bit now and I've also tried my hand at wine so im going to give beer a shot i have gallon carboys , and airlocks is there anything else i need to brew beer other than the ingredients ?

    Secondary wine fermenting question ?

    So i have made a gallon of apple wine its coming up on 3 weeks in primary ...this is my first fruit wine im planning on adding sulfites during secondary but what else do i need to add because i'm reading a bunch of different things so what's the real deal and what's not any advice is appreciated 😎

    So im looking to add some cinnamon, vanilla bean , and some white oak to my apple mead ....do they make some kind of little bag i can put it in so i can remove at some point or what's the best way to do that so i don't leave it in so long its over powering ?

    Hydrometer reading question

    Ok so i took a hydrometer reading on my meads and this is the sp gr section of the hydrometer the first mead reads right on the 50 mark and the second is this ( refer to pic ) so at the risk of asking a stupid question can someone tell me what it means ?
