    The reason I say it’s my setup is that the container I sparged in didn’t have a false bottom so it clogged the spout. So I had to ladle the mash into a strainer

    I don’t really know what to call it I wanted to practice an all grain brew and used up some pearl barley and oatmeal with cracked black pepper, coffee, and cocoa powder for flavor and bittering.     I have just started brewing beer about a month ago, but I’ve been brewing wine and cider for family for a few years now. So far I’ve brewed a batch of caribou slobber that is bottle conditioning right now and an experiment that’s not really beer because it doesn’t have malt or hops in it.
