    NEIPA dont’s

Really? I have 2018 Amarillo from YVH and it smells and tastes amazing.

    NEIPA dont’s

I have found the same. I no longer dry hop beofre crashing. And I usually bring back up to 60ish.

    NEIPA dont’s

Please elaborate. In regards to what you consider optimum for this style of beer and how you would address a deviation.

    Blending yeast to improve attenuation

Sorry missed the details though probably don't matter much. 15 gallon batch. I make 5L starters so that ws the 1318 and then I either pitched 1 or 2 dry pack of S-05. In all honesty I think the S-05 probably didnt do that much as the 1318 had well taken over by that point. I tend to shoot for a...

    WooHoo- X-Mas bonus

Thanks for reply. I just fill keg with sanitizer and purge that out with CO2. I mentioned the blow off as was pondering whether it would be better to let the keg equlaize with the fermenter head space pressure then purge and repeat. I don't know what the answer is or whether it matters. I think...

    WooHoo- X-Mas bonus

Looks like your blow off valve is open on keg. Do you just spund-purge it while the fermentation is really cranking? How long do you purge a keg for? I suppose you would have pretty constant positive pressure at least during them most active fermentation. Looking for answers, these are not...

    Spike Complete System

Really no need at all for a hopspider with the spike system. The whirlpool piles up the trub perfect and I often throw in a pound of whirlpool hops for a 15 gallon finished beer. I suppose the spider could increase your brewhouse efficiency, but who really cares. A bit more grain is cheap. The...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Oh man. I saw someone else quote you on that without context. I was hoping you hadn't posted a photo of your wife or something, LOL.

    Hop Filter Necessary with CFC?

As someone on this site once suggested to me, and what you already may be doing, flow through the CFC for the whirlpool. I have never had a problem with it clogging. This also sanitizes it for you with boiling wort. I start the whirlpool and start cooling at the same time and once it hits 175F I...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Settle down buddy. Don't be so defensive. Not trying to diss this product just reporting my experience so that it may help someone else. When I set up my brewery, I did so in a garage I was converting into a man cave so AC was going in anyways. I was worried about the condensation, but found I...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I brew 15-20 gallon batches on a HERMS sytem in my garage and often do not open up the garage. I have a mini-split AC I installed in the garage for climate control and I just crank it up a bit and it handles the moisture no problem.

How Many Gallons of Homebrew in 2018?

AHHHHHH. I was really trying to figure out how so many home brewers brewing 5 g batches had brewed 6000 gallons already this year. LOL.

    Solitary brewer ?

I love getting through most of the brew day solo and then having friends show up during the boil to help clean up and finish. That is my usual. Though my 8yo daughter always helps weigh all the ingredients, fills the hopper as I crack grains, and stirs out the dough balls as I mash in.

Constant recirculation in mash vs other

Yes, the other pump is used to constantly recurculate the HLT water.
