    Omron PID

The way in which controllers work is varied and depending on your understanding, one may be easier to use than the other. It's whether you really appreciate a plug and play solution or have an interest to learn and select something which needs more complex understanding. I gave you the link to...

    Omron PID

Grounded Brewing Technologies also use the Omron controller. It is a hugely capable industrial controller. Here's a link to the manual, that describes along with examples some use case scenarios. http://industrial.omron.com.br/uploads/arquivos/E5CC-E5EC-Users-manual.pdf

Grounded Brewing Technologies - 240V eBIAB System

My thought is that if they are able to offer a 20G system for the reported $1800, the least they can do is pass the cost saving on to the customer when purchasing a 15G system. I agree with @augiedoggy, the material cost for a lot of these components is much less than originally posted...

    Locknut not water tight. Epoxy/caulking?

If you had flux on your mating surfaces, heated until the flux started to bubble and flow, then touched on the silver solder. The solder will follow where there is flux, so long as the heat is there. A perfect joint will have very little solder visible since it should be between the two mating...

    Locknut not water tight. Epoxy/caulking?

If you're not sure, try filling with water and see if it leaks. It could be just flux giving a wet appearance. If it does indeed leak, heat it up and try soldering again. Don't be dismayed, you can do it!

Building on a SSR based wifi resistive load controller product, any interest?

In general, those who have the technical background to script or program say an ardiuno or pi can create a controller for a solid state relay with wireless connectivity. Or you can use one of the many wireless modules sold for IoT purposes, they come with a small but powerful MCU that would...

Building on a SSR based wifi resistive load controller product, any interest?

Great question! I assume this would give you flexibility to control your brewing process using a PC or phone application? Would you be writing such a program or plan to interface in a present solution? Please share more details.
