1.5 for sure. If you want to get to a boil quick I recommend adding the hot stick at brewhardware. For those days when you are in a big hurry. I got one and over the last two years I have used it twice. It does come in handy when you need it for sure.

    Clawhammer Supply BIAB Review

Well after two years I have zero complaints. I have made a lot of beer and to date they have all come out as predicted. You will need to ensure you have a good grain crush so you hit your numbers.

@Andrew Hodgson Man am I glad you brought this up! I hadn't even given it a thought until I saw your post. I just so happens that I am in the market for a new kitchen faucet. I need to see if one of the new models still have the screw on aeration fitting to I can adapt a hose fitting when needed.

@Andrew Hodgson Yes that is the new bench and its a BEAST. You know I am not sure if the insulation helps or not to be honest as I did it prior to ever heating up water. I figured it couldn't hurt and would protect the pot from getting scratched up. I really needed the pulley set up on this...

    Clawhammer Supply BIAB Review

@smbdyshero Just checking in to see how everything ended up and whether or not you have done another brew? Have you insulated the pot yet? I just pulled the trigger and got in on the kick starter campaign for version 2.0. I have read that the insulation really makes a big difference on the...

    Beginner question about aging.

@Morrey I have a bottling bucket I was just concerned that I would introduce oxygen to the beer by doing that transfer. I also bought the tablet type priming sugar ( I had no idea you could add to the bucket prior to bottling). But Adding the vanilla in the SS BB would be tricky I agree. Well...

    Beginner question about aging.

@Morrey Thank you that makes very good sense to me. I assume I can bottle straight from my Ss Brew Bucket. At least they say you can...

    Beginner question about aging.

@Morrey Thank you for the reply. Yes my intention is to split the batch with a brew buddy that's why I need to bottle the other half. If I do not connect the CO2 line to the second keg while aging for the 30 days with the vanilla bean extract will I still have foam issues? I thought at the...

    Beginner question about aging.

I completed my first (first brew ever period) all grain batch (Vanilla Porter) and it went very smooth. I have a Ss Brewbucket (7 gallon) so as I understand it there is no need for a secondary. My question is the recipe calls for 30 days aging at 12 psi at 65 degrees(I am kegging btw), Now I...

Step 1 of the Keezer build. Still have all the Oak trim to complete

Well all that is left is to turn some tap handles and make bev and gas lines, oh and the dreaded gas struts install!

Step 1 of the Keezer build. Still have all the Oak trim to complete

@AkTom The top is a sheet of copper from http://www.colorcopper.com/wild-fire-copper-copper-sheet/ I poured a clear high gloss epoxy over it. Hell climbing in it would be much easier probably. If I knew wth I was doing I would have put the struts in when it was just a 2 x 8 frame with no top...

Step 1 of the Keezer build. Still have all the Oak trim to complete

@MaryB thank you I think I understand what you are saying. The difficult part is the mounting and the ability to see the geometry once in the closed position.

Step 1 of the Keezer build. Still have all the Oak trim to complete

@MaryB They are 14 inches in the open position. I am not sure I quite understand where you are suggesting I mount them? My uneducated thought was to mount them on the sides of inner collar walls to the top edge of the keezer itself onto wood standoff blocks. I have to account for the...

Step 1 of the Keezer build. Still have all the Oak trim to complete

I really didn’t like the look of a tower at the time but hindsight being what it is I now wonder if that might have been a better option given the weight of the collar. I have purchased some gas struts to have a lift assist which should address the issue. Now I just need to get the geometry...

@smbdyshero I look forward to seeing your results! I am still on the fence regarding the 120v system and am anxiously awaiting the 220v version.
