The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

And so I've had the Stasis since March of 2020. Used it with probably 10, 5 gal batches. Only 2 were lagers that needed 38 deg. Today.. with a pilsner on, it died. Simply died... nothing. Cycled the switch.. nothing. No sign of any kind of circuit breaker or fuse externally. Doesn't look to be...

    Adapter from commercial sanke coupler

Is there such a thing that, without disconnecting lines, a taproom can connect to a sanke fitting that duplicates the top of the sanke keg and has the two ball lock tubes and couplers. This way a bartender can simply connect the bars sanke coupler to this adapter and then plug the ball locks...

    Sanke to Ball Lock

I know about that setup because I have it for when I get commercial beer. I don't want them to be having to take things apart just for my keg and then putting it back for another keg. Was looking for something that they could simply mount their sanke coupler into with two ball lock hoses already...

    Sanke to Ball Lock

The local restaurant would like to try my beer. They have sanke and I have ball lock. Does anyone make a coupler that mimicks a sanke keg they can connect to that has the ports for attaching lines and ball lock connectors?

    When is spunding worth trying?

That's what I think but the higher cost ones using 1.5 triclamp have a reservoir.

    When is spunding worth trying?

Thank you. I have a lot of headroom and haven't had any issues with beer getting into the PRV. I modified this valve to allow adjustability. They had it staked to one setting. I cut out the dimple that keeps you from adjusting it. I simply set it low, watch the gauge and adjust the PRV to the...

    When is spunding worth trying?

I'm using a manifold from Spike that uses the 1-1/2" triclamp. Has a gauge and a PRV. No airlock. Not sure why you would need an airlock. Doesn't the pressure keep contaminants from entering through the PRV? When it's forced to release it's releasing under pressure... like a one way valve. So...

CM Becker ball lock gas check valve flow issue

It seems like they have a problem flowing co2 at 10psi and under. Anyone experience this?

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

I'm having an issue with the tubing kinking close to the connections with just the weight of the filled lines. Anyone have a suggestion for lines that don't kink so easily restricting flow? Also I noticed the unit isn't available on the CraftaBrew site. Is it out of stock or out of production?

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

Been using the Stasis for about 7 months now I guess. I have a pilsner on now. Holding at 38F for four weeks.... into my first week. So far the unit is doing a fine job. No regrets.

    Emergency.... no yeast in kit

Ok this is my first pilsner and I did some research. To answer my own question.... no... I dumped the steeping wort and contacted the store and asked for another bag of steeping grains and the proper yeast.

    Emergency.... no yeast in kit

My mistake is I didn't do inventory when I received the kit. No yeast. I bought two kits. One is a Honey Wheat with a ale yeast. I have that yeast. The one I am brewing now is a Lemon drop Pilsner No yeast in the kit. So my only choice is to use the ale yeast or... I have a big bag of Red Star...

Beer backflowing but I have check valves.

I use a liquid ball lock to force carb at 30psi. The gas bubbles up from the bottom

Beer backflowing but I have check valves.

I know it sounds that simple. I guess I was thinking the check valve at the valve located at the regulator would still work since it's not allowing anything to move but I guess the CO2 compresses, allowing beer to go up the line. They should make ball locks with integrated check valves. On...

Where do you have your check valves?

Beer backflowing but I have check valves.

The infamous back flow into the CO2 line issue. I often forget about the pressure differential and beer shoots up the CO2 line. I disconnected the line at the valve at the regulator and removed the valve. It does have a check valve. I'm confused. Beer still backflows. I'm thinking I need a check...
