How do I get CO2 when everything is shut down?

YES! I just checked AirGas and they are listed as essential! Now I just have to see if their showroom is open or I'm going to have to pay the steep shipping fee. Thanks for the tip.

How do I get CO2 when everything is shut down?

I'm running low and the local MoreBeer showroom is closed.

    Storing grain builds

I buy my base grains in bulk and store them. When I visit morebeer (20 min away from me) i have a list of the next 3 - 5 beers I want to make. I then buy all the specialty grains I need for each beer, label the bag and tape it up. I keep them in my keezer until I need them and just dump them...

Dumped dry hops into keg on accident. Now it clogs!!

Get another dip tube. Cut 1 to 1.5 inches off. Clean and sanitize then replace the tube in the clogged keg with it. Works like a charm and that short tube can be used in the future for beers that may have a lot of hops or yeast that transfer to the keg.

    DME Hardening

The moisture in the air is the problem. Keep it in the freezer. That's the driest place in your house. You don't even need to seal it, but I would to prevent it picking up flavors. That's also where I store my calcium chloride which has the same hardening problem.

    Imperial yeast

Rustic is my go to yeast for Belgian style beers. I keep wanting to experiment with other yeasts but the results are exactly what I want. Im going to try Dry Hop the next time i do an IPA.

Big Mouth Bubbler Universal Lid solution

I use two cheapo photography clamps. Works great for me. I shouldn't have to make my own fix but there it is.

    Big Mouth Bubbler

That's what BN suggested. I'll just stick with the clamps. They really should have just stuck with a threaded lid.

    Big Mouth Bubbler

My problem with the big mouth is the new lid. If it's wet when you put it on it won't stay. I have to clamp mine on every time I use it. NB wrote to me after my rather scathing review to say that I should let it dry before using it but in my mind I want it wet with starsan when I apply it. So I...

What beers or breweries influence your brewing?

I've made recipes based on Boulevard Brewing's Tank 7 twice now. The first one was hopped with a lot of Centennial turning it into more of a Belgian IPA. For the second I ramped up the fermentation temp over a week and it's closer in flavor to Tank 7. I will definitely play with this recipe...

    AIH kegs

I have 6 and they are solid and nice. I especially like the last two I bought. The lids on those have a metal clip spot welded to the inside that will be very useful the next time I want to dry hop. I like to put my dry hops in a bag and suspend it about halfway down.

Tank 7 Clone -- Yeast Selection Opinions

I made Tank 7 clone 4 weeks ago using the recipe below, with a few tweaks. The most notable of the tweaks was that my LHBS was out of the Wyeast 3711 French Saison so I went with Imperial Rustic. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showpost.php?p=4282969&postcount=86 I fermented at 68F for the...

    Robobrew Again

When in the process are they seizing? I only use my Robobrew as an expensive mash tun and haven't had any issues after 3 batches. 2 of them were multi step and had fairly large grain bills. I have a post about this in this forum. I did see one video of a clogged pump but it was because of...

    Robobrew Hybrid System

I was finally satisfied with my setup for extract brews and wanted to move to all grain. I had been researching mash tun setups but was also keenly interested in electric brewing. Then I heard about the Robobrew and thought it checked all of the boxes in my wishlist. First I really wanted the...

    Quick disconnects

Brewhardware.com has a pump connection kit that I purchased and used to get handle on what I needed to plumb my entire system. It was a great starting point. https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/pumpcon-i.htm
