I’ve tried this above without much luck using a regular sized spider. I ended up using the COFI filter one time for a massive whirlpool addition. It worked well to keep away clogging, but was a real nightmare trying to clean it after.

I believe the direct replacement is a Topsflo TD5 pump. I replaced mine a few years back and think it was identical looking & performing.

It's for a typical 5G batch. It'll truly hold just under 7 to ferment. In a batch I did recently I filed a 5G keg & an almost full 1G keg when I made a slightly larger batch.

Looks like NB has IPA kits at 3 for 25/each. Seems like it’s only the extract kits though. Bummer as I’ve made a couple of those AG kits and they are pretty good. Wonder why those “3 for” kit deals are never on the AG and only on the extracts ??? oh well, hope someone likes the extract deal.
