    Man, I love Apfelwein

Batch # 3 started back on the 19th. Batch #4 to begin within the week. It has been repeated, but necessarily so and I will join the chorus, Before the first batch is done, start another batch. This stuff will disappear!

    Man, I love Apfelwein

I hastily threw all 5 gals back into the plastic jugs my apple juice came in. I didn't find it to greatly affect the flavor. I'm down to the final gallon jug (gotta brew NOW) and it is still as drinkable as when "jugged".

    Hello from Coastal Georgia

Hi Y'all, I've been sequestered over in the Apfewein thread and thought I'd step out, rub my eyes, and see what else is going on here. I'm getting back into brewing after a long hiatus. Here's a toast to all of us! :mug:

    Man, I love Apfelwein

I'm getting back into homebrewing after a nearly decade hiatus (don't ask). Many thanks to Ed for providing just what I needed - a recipe simple enough to ease me back into the brewing life! I purchased 5 gals of apple juice from Walmart, ordered 2 lbs of dextrose and a pack of Montrechet...
