    Leaving Beer?

    I have left my pilsner in the secondary for about 2 months, is this okay? Its in a dark place. Can i leave in the secondary for much longer? or is this good? :confused:

    My lager (which is an extract kit) is in the secondary fermentation at the moment. I havent lagered it yet, because i plan to do this when i bottle.     Help!

    My cider has been bubbling along for the last 4 days, well bubbling alot really. But suddenly yesterday it stopped all together. Is it natural for cider to stop primary fermentation after 4 days, or is something wrong? Help! :(

    Oxyclean

    I was cleaning bottles in water and oxyclean but i accidentely left them in there for about three days. Now on the outside and inside of the bottles there is a white power, this comes off by scrubbing but i dont have anything to reach the inside. Any suggestions? and are the bottles still safe...

    Proof

    I know this isnt anything to do with beer, but if there are any distillers here i was wondering if you can tell me how i can measure the proof of the alchohol after i have distilled it and how to change that.... :confused:

    Red ale

    I know this sounds like a completely stupid question to all you super brewers out there :D but what is a red ale? Oh and also i was wondering if i could add extra hops to an already hopped extract to give it a better flavour... :confused:

    Moving

    Hi i was just wondering that if i moved my beer in the secondary fermatation stage (that is in demijohns) to a barrel will it still be okay? Because a friend of mine said that the beer will go flat and then go off. :confused:

    To buy or not to buy

    At the moment i do my secondary fermenting in demijohns, i was just wondering if i should buy a barrel to get two brews fermenting at once and the barrel would be much easier to bottle from. Open to any comments...

    How do you increase alchohol content?

    Hi everyone on HomeBrewTalk, im new here and i was just wondering how you increase the alchohol content in beer. Also i was wondering what gimp is, everyone is talking about it and i think it has something to do with labeling, what is it? tomas :)
