Curious what micro-breweries do with used grain?

Our local ones all allow farmers to come pick them up

Brewtools B40/80+ Pro Commentary & Discussion

I looked pretty hard at Brewtools and ended up going with a Spike Solo instead. I liked how the brewtools had all the add ones and shiny stuff but, at this point simplicity trumped complex. I loved the idea of more automation but I had a spike 3 vessel system before and I know how the controller...

    I see bubbles!

After 20 years of brewing I still get excited every time I see bubbles in the blow off or in the airlock. I seriously wake up and have to check it first thing. Am I the only one?

    For Sale Spike system

Correct, my electrician was a little concerned that there wouldn’t be enough power in my outbuilding to run the system and the AC/Heat unit and my glycol chiller all at the same time. When he installed it he said I might have to turn off the AC durning the boil. This has never been a problem...

    For Sale Spike system

Yes it is NPT. I bought it probably 3 months before they introduced the tri clamp. Frankly, for moving the hoses around during the brew day I find this easier. I will include all the hoses with the push on fittings (blanking on the official name). I probably changed out the hoses 3 or 4...

I could consider that would just need to figure out logistics of getting a truck. Maybe Indianapolis?

    For Sale Spike system

Timeline could work if it was by mid November. I guess I would just be concerned holding it if you decided not to move forward. Doing my assessment of what I can take I also have three Speidel fermenters (2-30l 1-60l) that I could throw in if you wanted to move sooner.

    All Mosaic Recipe

It’s not a NEIPA but not a west coaster either. Kind of in between. The brewery is outside Houston so I guess it makes sense that it is somewhere in between. I had it before I ever had a NEIPA and still love it. I live in Nashville and there is a brewery here (Bearded Iris) that makes an...
