Yeah I should've mentioned length but that's not something I was concerned with as I used cat5 ethernet wire to extend the sensors.

This. Just did the same thing with a 7.5 gallon batch and cooled it in 30 minutes. I've had a pond pump sitting around for years and never thought of this. I'm going to make a counterflow chiller and use the same recirculating pump technique for the cooling water.

What was the calculated and measured OG?

There's a big difference between potable drinking water and the temperatures seen in house plumbing vs. a mash tun. The higher temperature could cause a problem, though I haven't seen any documentation to support either side. But I've used a cpvc manifold that's not cemented with great success...

I think we need to nail down who wants what from each DME split. The last few takers haven't been specific.

I'm in the same boat as German_HB, our DME split didn't close last buy. I don't need wheat specifically but I will use it for starters and probably to knock out some quick beers.

Let's get that Wheat DME closed! If you switch to the Avangard Pilsner I'd be interested in some (if German_HB doesn't take all the rest)

Soooo many splits left. In an effort to close some: I'll add 5# Bavarian Wheat DME (making my total 15#...again) Add 5# Flaked Barley (making my total 20#)

Sorry to change my choice so much, but my wife wants some oats too. Please change my order of Flaked Oats from 10# to 15#
