    I stopped by AHS this weekend, on my trip to Austin, and bought their Wild Card allgrain kit. I'm going to try and brew it today, but I need to bottle first.

    I did a wit that I added orange to. I used the zest from 2 oranges at 5 min, and the I put the oranges in a blender with a little water and blended it, after that I brought it up to 170F for 5 minutes and froze it.     My Bucket's Got a Hole In It!

    I've seen jb weld used on plenty heat sticks that go into wort. I had a small pin hike in my kettle that I fixed with it. So far so good, no off flavors. It's non toxic and good to 600f.

    What's your next brew? Why?

    I'm going to brew up a batch of Morag's Mojito from Brew Dog's recipes. I really want to make a beer with ginger in it, and this sends like a good place to start.

    New eBIAB build, questions about controls

    I had a similar problem with hanging temp. After searching around I found that it was due to the I setting bring too high, I lowered mine down to 1 and now it works perfectly.

    All my carboys and buckets are full, nothing is ready to be bottled so I figured I'd spend the weekend enjoying my brews it at my parents ranch. Time to grill some fajitas!

    Dried peppers and pectin

    So I have an ale in secondary that is in top of dried chilis. Before I put the chilis in the secondary I boiled them and added both the boiled water and the pepers. Now I know that when you boil fruit you can get pectic haze, can peepers cause the same thing? I really want to get this beer...

    A couple of guajillo chili peppers waiting for a blonde ale to go on top of them. I took the seeds out so it shouldn't add much heat, but there should be some great flavor. @jmyska

    Serendipity Sour Cream Ale

    That's awesome that it worked out. But I too thought it was going to be a SourCream ale. I was very intrigued.

    Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

    It's only been in the bottle for a few days, but I had to taste it and see how it looked. It tastes really good even this young. It's still a little cloudy, but I think it will clear up as it ages in the bottle. It's definitely red in the light.

    Right now I'm drinking my first all grain beer that I created all on my own. It's not a hop bomb or anything, but I'm very proud of it.

    I got my 2000w heating element and enclosure for my eBiab setup I'm building. More goodies should be coming in later.

    Irish Red Ale Raging Red Irish Red Ale

    I just brewed sine of this yesterday, mused my OG by .007. I didn't calculate for my effeciency when I converted the recipe to 3 gallons, and I had worse effeciency than usual. Oh well it still looks awesome and smells awesome. I'm sure it's going to be great beer.
