    Wheat beer...do you add hops?

    Hi guys... Just a quick question I'm not clear about.Do you need to add hops to a wheat beer?I have a wheat beer fermenting atm and was wondering does it require hops?I've read that it does't. Cheers

    Hmm...it did't mention on the can that it was pre-hopped.Is it to late to add hops?It is currently fermenting.

    Ah thanks man,I was wondering why my OG was 1030....after it stopped fermenting I was wondering why the alcohol content was staying stable at about 2.5%ish (It was supposed to be about 4.5% finished).Was worried the extra water thinned it out to much so added abit more sugar to compensate :/

    Added to much water to wort,low alcohol volume

    Thanks for the reply,I just added about 150 grams of sugar and golden syrup to the wort...hopefully the extra water I added at the start should balance it out in the end. :)
