    Pear cider help

    It sounds like you might need to backsweeten it to get the natural pear flavor back. The yeast definitely gobbled up all of the sugars, which is why your cider is dry.

    1 c. Elderberry, dried. 1 - 4 oz container of orange peel 4 cups of water 2 lbs of raw sugar Be sure to add the peel after you add the sugar so you can verify that the sugar has been mixed in and melted down especially because it goes the fridge overnight.

    Opened brewing bucket to test SG late in fermentation and now no longer bubbling

    I would add the nutrient and start at 1/4 tsp but add more if you do not see a reaction right away.
