    DIY Water Filtration?

    Has anyone done one before? The water in my house has a somewhat weird aftertaste (I'm guessing due to the pipes). When I use my Brita pitcher it gets rid of the taste but the amount of time and hassle to get all of the water I need for an AG batch is not worth it and I just end up buying jugs...

    Can anyone recommend a thermometer for my brew kettle

    I have a 32 qt stainless steel that I want to install thermometer in to, my friend is a professional welder so she is down to install it for me be for free. Anyone have a recommendation on a thermometer for my kettle? Any experience doing this?

    Belgian Pale Malt for an IRA

    Question about adding water

    So I am doing a modified version of Yooper's DFH 60 Minute IPA and it says to boil in 2.5 gallons of water and once it is cooled put it in the carboy then fill up to the 5 gallon mark with cooled water. Would it be fine to just use bottled, distilled water or do I need to boil it first...
