    New Keezer Build.

Again, this looks awesome!! A couple of question, where do you draw the power for the fan from? Is it a seperate plug to the wall? Is there any concern with condensation causing problems with the fan? Also, when does the fan run? Is it only when the compressor is running or all the time...

    Excited about a kettle? Really???

It arrived yesterday and I'm very impressed. The kettle and accessories were well packaged and it's very solid, clean welds and just looks very well put together. It will probably be a couple weeks before I have a chance to put it into action, but I will post some pics once I do. Me and my...

    New Keezer Build.

This is looking great! Did you bolt that countertop to the lid so it just all swings up together? I'm thinking of going the keezer route and also would prefer a tower for my situation. Looking forward to seeing your tower cooling setup.

    Kegerator or Keezer wanted

Looking for a 3 or 4 tap kegerator or keezer in good condition to put in my game room. I'm near Sacramento California. I'm looking for something that's not too tall so not interested in a full sized refrigerator. Also want to be able to have the Co2 tank inside the unit. If you have anything...

How do you clean your bottles?

I put all mine in the dishwasher on the disinfect cycle with the high heat at the end, then I soak them in Starsan for a few minutes before bottling. Overkill? I'd just rather not worry about any microscopic critters coming between me and my beer.

    Online Buying Rather Than Local

Much like my cigars, I find I make most of my brewing purchases online but do occassionally drop by my local retailer just out of a sense of wanting to support them or when I want something right away.

    Excited about a kettle? Really???

I was able to see/use my friends 20 gallon kettle and was very impressed, it seemed solid and well made. What really sold me on these was the welded fittings, no need for gaskets etc. I realize this borders on a religious discussion here so don't want to get too into it, but it just worked for me.

    Excited about a kettle? Really???

So I just pulled the trigger and ordered a 20 gallon kettle from Spike. Never in my 48 years on this Earth would I have thought I'd be excited about purchasing a big metal pot...but I am!!! After a fair amount of research and watching a friends in action this seems like the best...

Is a 15-gallon kettle "too big" for a 5 gallon batch?

I'm getting a 20 gallon kettle, I mainly do 5 gallon batches but if I want to do a 10 gallon BIAB batch I don't want to regret not going big.

    Air lock question, recipe thoughts

I also have a Hefe in the fermenter, been in there about 9 days and I've been very worried about temperature causing the dreaded "banana effect" so I've been keeping it cool. Is it really true that I no longer need to worry about this? Thanks!

    Spike Brewing Group Buy?

I've been a lurker here for a while but finally took the plunge and signed up. I'm looking to upgrade to a Spike Brewing 20 Gal kettle, was wondering if anyone knows of any discount codes or group buys for Spike? I have a friend with one of their kettles and am very impressed.

Hello from El Dorado Hills, CA

New to the forum and homebrewing, have just brewed a couple batches so far and loved it. I'm about to take the plunge into full grain BIAB, just a matter of upgrading some of my equipment, thinking of getting the Spike Brewing 20 gallon kettle. Anyway, greetings all and Slainte!
