1st batch, 1st AG in the works as you read this.

Well, never being one to start slow, I jumped right into brewing by way of AG. I spent about 5 months reading this board and researching stuff on other sites, but decided to go all the way or go home. I made a version of BM's Centennial Blonde. A lot less hoppy because I have come to the...

Who are the Albuquerque area Brewers?

I am on the West side of Albuquerque, near Unser and Ourey. I know BrewPastor is in Corrales, and if I remember correctly, CptmyCpt is in Albuquerque as well. I would be very interested in getting to know some of the local brewers and learning everything I can from you guys. Perhaps we can...

    Low Cost Cooling Tank.

After reading a bunch of posts about using different methods to keep fermenting products cool, I decided to use a few things I had around the garage and make a cooling tub for less than $20. Note, cost will be more if you do not have the plastic tubs. One more thing, I took these pictures...

2 fantastic beers. I will most assuredly put these two about first in my AG rotation once I get the rest of my gear.

22 Hours on a plane and I am still not home, but getting closer!!

22 hours onboard a plane. I am currently in BWI waiting for my flight to Denver. I will be in Denver less than 2 hours and then h ome to Albuquerque. It is so good to be back in the USA. Can't wait to get home and finally get to meet some of you Albuquere area HBT'ers.

    Austin Homebrew Supply...OUTSTANDING Customer Support!!

HBT'ers, I wanted to pass on my recent experiences with AHS so you all can have further proof of just what an outstanding organization they are. As many of you know I am currently deployed to the Middle East and have been for the past 10 months. Forrest and AHS had a pretty darn good sale a...

17 more days until I might be able to come home.

It has been a long journey. Almost 300 days down with the last 16 or so left. I almost regret volunteering for the second portion of this deployment....until I reconsider and remember that I will now have the $$ to buy my kegging equipment as well as my BGE. I have monitored the discussions here...

81 degrees a 1:30 in the AM and foggy!!

I now know where Steven King got his inspiration for The Mist. It is 1:30AM, 81 degrees, 97% relative humidity and we cannot see across the sidewalk because of this nasty, sticky, HOT fog. I thought fog occured when it was cool. I guess I was wrong. This just feels so wrong. When I see fog...

New in New Mexico, but temporarily overseas...

Hello everybody. I am returning to the HomeBrew world after an absence of about 16 years. I figured that it is about time I made my own beer as I have become very tired of the lack of flavors in BMC. I also needed a new hobby. Reading much of this board I am starting to get the feel ing...

How long will a Corny stay "fresh"?

Long-time lurker, first post. I am currently deployed with the AF in a hot sandy location so the best I can do is read the forums. I have decided to jump back in to brewing with both feet. I plan to get a 3 carboy system ( I want to be able to have 2 batches in secondaries within 7-10...
