    Ireland and Germany

Drink Apfelwein in Frankfurt. It's basically Cider and it's good at most "Brewpub" places. https://www.ratebeer.com/beermap?p=0&z=11&lt=5011033&ln=868755

    Purepitch pitching rates

Anyone that has done a 15 Gallon lager batch using one PurePitch and a 6L starter?

    Purepitch pitching rates

Hi, Just made a 5L starter using 4 packages of WLP 838 Purepitch. Did so because I'm brewing 15 gallons with OG of 1050. Brewers friend and Beersmith said that was what it took. But White Labs claim on the pakage that one purepitch in a 6L starter would be enough. What are your thoughts on...

    SS Brewtech sparge arm

Hi, I have a Chapman like mash tun and I'm looking for Fly sparge arm. I really like the SS Brewtech arm, but I'm sure it won't work out of the box with my MT. Anyone that has mounted that arm on a non SS Brewtech kettle or would have an idea on how to? Thanks /Kim

Cold crashing under pressure in a conical

Worked like a charm. Had to reattach the Co2 a couple of times to keep the pressure up, but that was no problem.

Cold crashing under pressure in a conical

I hooked up the Co2 and gave it a 2 PSI pressure. Then I took it off and set the thermostat to 30F. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

Cold crashing under pressure in a conical

Yes, I use glycol chilling. My experience is to much of a suck back, so I need a solution to avoid that. Will hook up the co2 today and see what happens when I cold crash.

Cold crashing under pressure in a conical

Hi there, I'd like to begin using Co2 when cold crashing in order to avoid "suckback". I use SS Brew Tech Chronicals. How do you guys do it? Do you leave the Co2 on or just give it a 3 PSI pressure at the beginning that will last for the entire cold crash? /Kim

    Conical question.

What kind of conical did you have in mind? SS Brew Tech has heating solutions for their range. http://www.ssbrewtech.com/collections/ftss/products/ftss-heating-upgrade-kit Regarding your question about the heat capabilities of the yeast. My experience is that when you reach the phase where you...

Optimal Glycol temperature for SS Chronical cold chrashing

Thanks Michael, What threshold temperature for the Glycol would you set as upper limit before the Chiller kicks in again? Cheers, Kim

Optimal Glycol temperature for SS Chronical cold chrashing

Hi there, What temperature do you set your glycol to when chilling for cold crashing your SS Chronicals? In my latest batch I went down to 10F only to realize I got ice around the chilling coils. I'm having trouble getting my ½ BBL fermenters reaching 30F. For the most part I settle with...

Do you need a 1 off Stainless part built for your system? Let's discuss it.

The disc is there for stability in a weldless setup on a thermo mash tun. The thread should be 45 mm measured from the disc. Do you do BSP threads? Cheers /Kim

    Diptubes for TC Ports

I have a boil kettle with a 50cm diameter. Could you make one that would draw from the edge of the pot when installed to your Weldless Tank Bulkhead Flange?
