    why boiling and no juice

    Hi I saw some recipe of Orange Apple and Carrot and ... wines that they chop and boil and strain for making must . Why they don't use juicer ? What will happen while boiling ? I wanna use it as base wine for distilling .

    SO2 for bottling

    Hi all I made a rosy wine OG 1.110 Yeast Montrachet FG 1.010 Go ferm and Fermaid K added . Used Campden tablet one day before adding Yeast . Final wort is about 16 liter Fermentation is near stop . Montrachet can't ferm more . No matter . PH is about 3.5 and I have no SO2 tester . I wanna keep...

    cider sediment & efficiency

    Well ! My cider was made by fresh apple juice . It was 18L at first but the final product after 3 times racking is about 10L ! I had this problem in white wine too . How can I increase efficiency ? Any available product for help ? And what about added sugar ? Will it increase sediments ? Thanks

    I'm Persian . I don't know about kind of apple . It was med-green and med-size , and sweet . The juice color was very light green and OG was about 1.052 . I added fermaid K too .

    Hi Some problem . I used brown sugar to juice for higher G but the color gets dark ! Will it be lighter after fermentation ? Must rack after G decrease to 1.020 . Right ? Used Nottingham . Seems good for OG about 1.062 . Thanks
