    Kegerator thermostat bypass

My friend came over and we re-wired just as advised for my edgestar br3001 and it worked just as you said! The main pcb looks exactly as you have pictured. Can’t believe it was that simple. I couldn’t get any appliance repair person to even take a look at it for over a year! This thing is on...

    Kegerator thermostat bypass

Thank you! My manual has none of those details for my model. I’ll have to touch base with a friend who is well versed in electric and see if he can help me out. I don’t trust myself.

    Kegerator thermostat bypass

Sounds great! My internal thermostat goes haywire when there are drastic changes in ambient temps so it would be nice to eliminate it from the equation.

    Kegerator thermostat bypass

That sounds promising. Do you have the same edgestar model? I’m a total dummy when it comes to this stuff so any help/pics you might have would be a huge help!

    Kegerator thermostat bypass

I have an edgestar br3001 with a digital thermostat (ugh) and I’m hoping to bypass the thermostat and use an inkbird. Any idea how I could go about doing this successfully?

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

To circle back i brewed this beer. Single packet non-rehydrated in the low 60s and the end result is very nice! Crisp and clean finish and supports the Maltiness well. Recommended for sure.

    Amoretti craft purees

I’d be worried about bottle bombs given the time and temp needed to naturally carbonate and the sugars present in the purée.

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

So many posts, I’m sure this has been inquired about several times already. I have a packet of s189 I’m thinking about fermenting warm in a Schwarzbier this weekend. Anyone successfully ferment this in the lower to middle 60s? What was your pitch temp and fermentation schedule? If it’s a bad...

    Amoretti craft purees

Yes, I used all 8.5 oz in 5 gallons. It has a slight sugary note to it. Worked perfect for the gose. Placed second in a bjcp comp in sour category and all said the grapefruit flavor was spot on

    Amoretti craft purees

I used one small bottle of the grapefruit craft purée in a 5 gallon batch of gose and it turned out great. Adding it to the keg, transferred on top and immediately chilled. Entered into a comp and it did very well. Pissed I only got two bottles at homebrew con when I literally could’ve had a...

    Using Brewer’s Edge Mash&Boil for a BIAB????

Likewise with a mash and boil, insulation and wilser bag with no grain pipe. Usually lose 3-4f max over the coarse of an hour. Stir every 20 mins and shut the unit off after mashing in

    Brewer's Edge Mash & Boil

Hello looking to do a setup similar to yours. Do you know what measurements you gave wilser for your bag? I don’t have the unit yet. Also, ever any issues with the bag scorching when the mash and boil kicks back on to heat during the mash? Thanks!

Clone Beer Founder's Breakfast Stout Clone

Thanks that was my thought with doubling up on the cocoa nibs but I'm definitely interested in your source for the powder

Clone Beer Founder's Breakfast Stout Clone

That's what it looks like in doing some reading. Do you pre melt it and add or throw it in chopped up?

Clone Beer Founder's Breakfast Stout Clone

Thanks. Do you recall what brand of dark bittersweet cocoa powder you used? Is Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder the same thing? Thanks again

Clone Beer Founder's Breakfast Stout Clone

Planning to do this one Soon. Going to dry bean with whole kona and Sumatra beans for 4-5 days before kegging. Has anyone dropped the chocolate or cocoa powder in the boil in favor of just dry nibbing with 4oz of cocoa nibs? How did it turn out? I was thinking of adding a vanilla bean or two to...

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

I'm brewing a 6 gallon red -ale or lager tomorrow with projected og of 1.069. Debating between using us-05 or 34/70. I've fermented 34-70 in the low to mid 60s before in lower gravity beers with 2 packets and it worked out well. How many packets of 34/70 would you use for this beer?

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

Brewed my first two lagers with 34/70 (2 packs each), a schwarzbier and helles warm (64-66f) and entered into my first real competition. Both kegged less than 3 weeks ago and the schwarz took silver and helles took gold. Psyched!
