American Pale Ale Cascades / Orange Pale Ale

Any zest you get commercially will be fine, there's not enough white stuff to be concerned with. I use 2 oz at 15 minutes and gives plenty of zing. As far as how much, I think 3/4 oz per orange would be about right. Think of the moisture in a fresh orange though, it'll weigh more. I've also...

American Pale Ale Cascades / Orange Pale Ale

I dropped dry hops to 1 oz and found it much more tolerable. I'm making a 3rd batch of this soon. Im trying 3 oz of orange peel and also trying Amarillo in the middle instead of straight cascade. This has become my house pale ale.

Thanks Trent, your saying use a old yeast tube? I'll give it a shot. I'll probably try Paulaner instead, I like the taste a tad better

    Brew Dogs...

I've looked all over the obvious places for some of the recipes in the show, but I'm interested in finding one in particular. In the Philadelphia episode, original air date 10/8/13. The "Most American Beer Ever Made". What I gleaned from the show: Vienna Pilsner pale malt Pale Chocolate Malt...

American Pale Ale Cascades / Orange Pale Ale

One note on the batch I did, I had to cold crash it after 2 wks in secondary, it wouldn't stop bubbling. But I tell ya, that's the best beer I've made to date. You're gonna love it, just give it time in the bottles as well. It'll be harsh, but it'll mellow out and blend nicely.
