    PID setup issue

I am pretty sure I have a setting wrong. I am very new to electric brewing. I have a n2006 PID and a pt100 sensor. I have followed the setup instructions that came with the PID and everything seems to work fine when I get closer to boiling temps. The issue is that it takes an...

I forgot to put my extract in the fridge when I got a week or so ago. The house temp runs about 65 I am assuming I need to toss it and replace it. Is that correct?

    EBIAB brewing question

I made my first batch with my new setup and am now a bit unsure about how to use my setup properly. I am using a 15 gallon pot with a PID temp sensor and valve 1.5" from the bottom of the pot and a 4500 watt heating element just slightly above that. I have a false bottom set up just...

    Cast Iron Burner issue

I just got a new Cast Iron burner. I tested it and it works just fine but after about 1-2 minutes it flames out the backside of the burner where it connect to the hose. Where it is flaming out it looks like there are 3 triangles for letting in air. Do I need to adjust these and open...

Messed up recipe - fermenting now - what should I do

Long story short I was brewing a Belgian Dark Strong that should have been about 1.08 going in to the fermenter. Instead it was 1.055ish. In a nutshell the local home brew shop who I bought the "kit" from neglected to give me the 2 pounds of sugar I needed to complete the recipe. At...

Fermentation scheduling error - what should I do

Unfortunately I am traveling for 2 solid weeks . I am tempted to throw a smaller amount of hops in but that would force me to bottle the beer after only 2 total weeks of fermentation. I think i am going to wait and bottle when I return.

Fermentation scheduling error - what should I do

I have already removed the beer from the primary and moved it to a secondary. I did this by racking. I normally check gravity twice before bottling or going to secondary to check for completion but I wigged out this time due to my desire to pull dry hops as the directions stated.

Fermentation scheduling error - what should I do

I should have dry hopped a week after I started my primary. Instead I dumped my hops in with the yeast. (Instructions were unclear) I needed to pull hops today so that required going to a secondary. I am not fully finished in fermentation. I am torn as I will have to either bottle...

240V planning - can you verify my logic

I want to run a 50 amp 240V circuit to my garage for brewing. My service panel is exactly on the other side of the wall from where I will be brewing so wire run will be short. 3-4 feet I know I will need a 4 wire setup so I can run both 120V and 240V at the same time. I am going to most...
