I did 2 weeks primary, 2 weeks secondary with dry hop. Gonna cold crash with gelatin for about a week then rack to a keg and hit it with the gas for a few days. Think I'll be brewing Sunday. The honey-do list has to be completed on Saturday. That beer looks great Royal. I'm gonna have to...

The liquor store by Publix and Publix usually have a pretty decent selection of quality beer. I know that the liquor store carries the Pensacola Beach Brewery beers and are starting to get the Grayton Beach Beer in as well.

Hey Royal! Did you use Hop Heads Irish Red recipe? Or something else? I've brewed their Irish Red (actually it was a Blackberry Irish Red) I split the batch and only did half of it as blackberry and they both came out really good. I think I'm going to be brewing this weekend. Finally getting...

Yeah I buy filtered water. I used my tap water for my very first batch and it seemed to be fine. It was a stout though. Portable filter sounds like a great idea. Might do that when I get my brew filter setup.

    Maple Infused Vodka

I said relatively. As compared to say bourbon. Do you have any suggestions as to how to get maple and bacon flavors into a beer without using extracts or dry hopping with bacon or priming with maple syrup? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Home Brew mobile app

    Maple Infused Vodka

Yeah, it would be a mixture of the two. But in a concentrated form. So, quarter cup of maple syrup into 1/3 liter of Vodka. As others in other threads have said, vodka is a relatively neutral flavor so the maple syrup should shine through. Once I freeze it, the maple syrup should fall to the...

    Maple Infused Vodka

I've been reading a lot of the threads on Maple Porters and I have yet to find one that has a definitive way of getting the maple flavor into the beer. I was think about infusing some vodka with maple syrup and then adding an ounce or 2 of the infusion at bottling. Has anyone tried this method?

    Pecan Meal?

Thanks for the insight on this. I was thinking I could toss it in with my grains but this seems like a better option. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Home Brew mobile app

    Pecan Meal?

I was trying to find a good way to do a clone of SA Maple Pecan Porter when I ran across a company that sells pecan meal. According to the description it is flaked or ground up pecans. I thought about adding it to my grain bill. Anyone ever had any experience using this stuff? BTW, I am going...
