All Pints as good as my last 3 pints

OK, the last few pints of any corny are THE BEST. How can we make all the pints taste like the last one? I've seen some floating keg inlet, I've cold crashed for way beyond hop persistence, etc. Anyone else see this phenomenon?

    Keggerator Freezing Kegs

OK, this is a new (and totally odd) condition. I have a standard keggerator. It is a black box with the chrome top rails that was originally for a full keg. I've switched out the tower and have 3 taps on it, 2 full size Corny's and a halfsy (3 gal) keg I keep on nitro in the back. This has...

    Saggy HERMS Coil

OK, so I'm converting a 10 gallons SS Brewtech kettle into a HERMS HLT and have a question. In this 'weldless' approach, I see that my coil 'sags' a bit in the kettle, deforming the side of the kettle a bit (nothing too extreme but noticeable). Anyone see this? I'm thinking that perhaps I...

    A couple of repitching questions

Hello, I did a 70-shilling Scottish ale on chico yeast and have racked off all but the last 1.5 inches from the primary a week ago. So the cake has been continuously under beer since then and have been in the garage in the upper 50's this past week. I'm doing a IIPA and going to repitch...

    Pseudo-BrewEasy/Brutus: No sparge test pilsner

Today I was trying out the no-sparge method that is what the Brutus and the BrewEasy. Specifically, I wanted to look at the efficiency my system with a temperature step mash. Here is what I found. My system is usually the 10gal Igloo MLT and HLT and a 10gal BK on gas. Today, I left the HLT...

    Cloudy Pilsner After Lagering

    I tried a new pilsner recipe and yeast I haven't used before, 8.44# German Pilsner 0.31# Carafoam 0.23# Acidulated Malt 1oz Tettnang @ 90 1oz Tettnang @ 60 0.75 Tettnang @ 30 0.50 Hallertau @ 15 I mashed @ 152, batch sparged, boilded for 90, cooled with an immersion chiller to 65 then into...

    Yeast starter longevity

Ok I am doing a pilsner and like to build up a great starter. However, through a comedy of errors, I haven't been able to brew for at least 10 days since the starter was ready. Is there a time limit we should look at for storing starters or is a 2L starter @ 44F just fine? How long can we...
