    Angled TC thermowell

I looked around online but couldn't find exactly what I'm after. I have a Spike CF10, and the placement of the thermowell port makes it so that if my yield is slightly under 5 gallons, the thermowell sits right at the liquid line, making readings inconsistent, especially when cooling. Has anyone...

    Maryland Stainless Steel Utility Table

50"x24"x35"(h) Has a few dents on the top surface, and a little scuffed on the legs and throughout, but otherwise very solid and sturdy. I used it as a brew lab table for years. Sorry for the terrible photos, but I literally have no where else to put it to get nicer pics. 🙃 $70 Pickup only in...

    Low efficiency with malted corn

I used Brewer's Friend, they even had the exact brand (Riverbend's Cumberland Corn Malt) This is probably where I came up short. I had a good amount of pilsner malt in there which should have helped with conversion, but I didn't run the corn through the mill. It came looking crushed, very...

    Low efficiency with malted corn

I just brewed a chicha style beer with 55% malted corn, 34% pilsner malt, and 11% torrified wheat, with 7 gal in the kettle pre-boil. Brewing software calculated a pre-boil gravity of 1.044, and a SG of 1.050 This is my first time working with malted corn so this could be a process issue, but my...

    Multiple harvests

I've been growing a centennial for years now, but I'll be honest and say I don't have much of a green thumb. I usually get decent yields from it, but every year it produces cones in sections at very different rates of maturation. Towards the top will start producing early June, and by mid August...

    Textured Labels

Looking for textured labels for my bottles, similar to what some wine bottles have. They aren't necessarily water resistant, but I am going for that papery look and feel, no gloss. If there are any natural wine heads out there, you probably know the kind of label I'm talking about. Usually...

Too late to cut all growth back?

After I harvest my hops in the Fall cutting down the bines, the crowns will shoot up a couple new ones still. Hops are very resilient, I definitely don't think it's too late to cut them back now, you will get new bines.

Best pub for cask ale in London?

Going to be in London for a day in June, obviously need to find a good pub. Any suggestions for one's that are particularly known for the quality of their cask ales? Also, any other beer related must-do's are welcome!

    Spill pan for conical fermenter

Just looking for suggestions if anyone has some sort of drip tray or pan they use under their fermenters. Mainly for when I am taking samples and spraying out the valve with ISO afterwards, it's starting to stain my floor. I have a Spike CF10, so it would need to fit that footprint with a bit...

    Use fermenter as keg: possible?

I think you're referring to these? Mini Keg They use a vent bung that you pull out slightly before serving. Similarly to a cask, you would need to finish it within a few days to keep the freshness.

Glycol Chiller Doesn't Cool Below 43F/6C

How much would glycol pump speed affect the cooling? I, having a similar issue with crashing temps, am using a small little aquarium pump to get glycol through the cooling coil, speed is pretty slow. Would a higher speed be beneficial, or is slow the way to go?

    Help saving a saison

Yeah it seemed quick, I was just following this recipe write up. I haven't used this yeast before, so I just followed the guide exactly. Recipe: L’Esprit de Blaugies Spelt Saison Next time I'll let it sit a bit longer at a comfy temp. And I will be carbonating in the unitank with a stone, so...
