Getting that beautiful nose on your beers

I also agree with hop choice. Had a IPA with 1 oz pellet citra in keg, second time i used 1 oz whole leaf citra and bottled from the keg. After 3 months I cracked open the whole leaf and was smacked in the face with citra aroma.

This Really Annoys Me Pet Peeve Thread

The word "juicy" as a descriptor for a NEIPA or hops in general, just stop!. In the last competition I entered some one put that on my score sheet and I contemplated the meaning of my life on Earth.

    First time cleaning of equipment

No TSP or dish soap. Soak and clean with PBW or equivalent to get rid of oil and or debris with a sponge or microfiber towel. If there is oil residue inside the keg then I would go caustic after PBW.

When to add Belgian Candi Syrup

I add to the boil as well. If the beer is higher gravity pushing into 1.090 and higher I have had good luck adding the syrup to the fermenter after fermentation has started but to be noted I also add oxygen 12 hours after pitching. It has made my bigger beers cleaner due to less yeast stress.

    Water profile for hoppy saison.

What he said. Bru n Water is a start to getting to understand water. Stick with the yellow, Amber and pale ale profiles. Also check out a brewing water primer.
