    sorry I meant 6000 watt elements. I must have typed faster than I was thinking. I am still going to wire them the same way though. I am buying them through Grainger.

    Im going to have each on its own 240 circuit and they will run on a seperate meter than my house since they will pull approx 94 amps. I will most likely install 3 elements on the kettle but only use the third if i really just want to speed up the process

    Im trying to figure out how many 7500 watt 240 volt elements to use in my 55 gal. kettles. I was thinking 2 but im not for sure.... any help would awesome

    Gravity Issues

    We are batch sparging, the first batch we did was a dry stout and the est pre boil gravity was 1.038 and our actual was 1.028. we are hitting our volumes pretty close (a bit high by about .5 gallons). Also the temps for the mash came out spot on to what Beer Smith said they should be.

    I will get more pics soon but the water goes from the sink into the intercooler and there is a fan attached to the intercooler that blows air into it, we have the fan sucking air from the freezer part of our fridge which cools the water even more, then it goes into the wort chiller.It works...

    We also took an inter cooler from a truck and mounted it to freezer on our fridge, the fan takes the cold air from the freezer and sends it thru the inter cooler to chill the water even more before it goes into the wort chiller. Just something i thought was cool that other home brewers can make...

    Everything was made by hand except the pots and the bottle capper. We also have a fermenting fridge and afew other things we designed and built. More pics coming soon.
